Concept (What its specific purpose is)

We got this idea after a visit to MoMA in New York that really stuck with us. We would like to change up how people experience art, so we started a project where artworks light up with just a motion. It's about getting people more involved, not just looking at art but really interacting with it. The whole thing is designed to change the way art feels, using light to make it more personal and meaningful. Our goal with this, 'Bringing artworks to life with a simple gesture,' is to make art feel closer and more real to people, to make it something everyone can get into and really feel connected with.

Input and output

The input is a camera. It will detect the user's hands movement and trigger an interaction to turn on and off the lights in artwork. The output will be the changed artwork as seen on the monitor display.

Brainstorming & Concept Images (What it is)

We're using below images for our project, where we'll be switching the lights on and off in the artworks. Right now, we're mostly looking at pieces that are already lit up. But in the future, we're considering adding our own lights to unlit pieces to reinvent them.

In the same way as above, we will be able to magically turn lights on and off in our artwork with simple hand gestures.
